You'll need to know the size of your tank.

The size of your tank will determine how much heating oil is left. If you don't know the size of your tank, you can try measuring it yourself or call our office to get additional details.

What to know if you're measuring the tank yourself.

Some tanks will have similar widths/diameters but different lengths. Please use our tank sizing chart to determine what tank size you have.

Steps for determining the size of the tank.
  1. Extend the tape measure to the bottom of the tank and record the measurement at the top of the fill pipe.
  2. Bring the tape measure up until it snags on the top of the tank where the fill pipe is screwed into the tank, record the measurement at the top of the fill pipe.
  3. Subtract the second measurement from the first measurement to determine the width/diameter of the tank and compare to tank chart.
  4. Measure the longest side of the tank to determine the length and compare to the tank chart.
